Silmo d’Or

Silmo d’Or:
awards go to the Italian
creativity of Piero Massaro

Prestigious international Silmo d’Or prizes were handed out in Paris, awarding the innovative production of optical instruments.

The soirée took place on Friday, September 27, 2014, inside the historic music hall Folies Bergère. The decor was accented by the colors of the Italian flag, reflecting the talent and imagination of Piero Massaro, who received the special award from the international jury of the prestigious Silmo d’Or. The jury was chaired by the French-Argentine designer Pablo Reinoso.

“I wasn’t expecting this, what joy!”: these were the first words of the designer, Sicilian by birth and Venetian by adoption. Massaro dedicates to his collections the passion and craftsmanship typical of Italian eyewear.
